Sheila
Sheila, who has multiple sclerosis
Here Sheila explains why she uses mind mapping techniques.
They help her both to prepare for meetings and when talking
with someone face to face.
'Mind mapping at a practical level allows me to cope with
the many difficulties I have with communication and
memory.
'Mind mapping software provides me with a powerful graphical
technique which helps me to trap random thoughts from my brain
into a clear picture. If required, I can add large amounts of
text as background notes to the map and export these to
create word documents.
'This allows me to be both creative and effective at a level
I cannot sustain myself.
'As it is a very visual tool it gives me a platform to
convey and exchange thoughts with others and allows me to be
better prepared for meetings at whatever level.
'The removal of the stress of trying to remember allows clearer thought processes.'
