The Communication Forum Scotland is an informal alliance of organisations with a primary interest in promoting and / or providing for the needs of people with communication support needs in Scotland.

People in Scotland with communication disabilities to have access to everything they want and need to enjoy a good quality of life.
A Scotland that understands and accommodates the needs of people with communication disabilities and positively promotes their strengths and involvement.
To unite those working for people with communication support needs and those living with communication support needs such that the user voice is better heard by decision makers, service providers and the wider world.
An equalities agenda that recognises the full impact of communication disability.

Communication Forum Scotland is inclusive of all communication support needs groups (apart from those whose primary concern is English as an additional language)
Recognition of the diversity of communication methods
Recognition that there are common barriers to communication for people with communication support needs and therefore common solutions in terms of changes in attitudes and awareness and increased knowledge, skills and resources.
